1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser. Local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) can store similar information without necessarily creating a cookie.
This policy applies to the Auto Turística Faialense website, operated by Manuel Furtado da Silva, Lda., at Rua Conselheiro Medeiros 12-r/c, Horta, Faial, Azores, Portugal. For questions about this policy, contact [email protected].
2. What does this website use?
The website stores your choices. The booking engine and Google Analytics each load with your permission.

3. External content and Google services
Allowing external content connects your browser to the booking engine at www.autoturisticafaialense.com. This connection can transmit technical data such as your IP address and browser information.
The engine can load Google Maps when you request its map, and Google reCAPTCHA if that protection is configured at booking confirmation. These services may use cookies or other technologies under their own policies. They are covered by your permission for external content. Their providers determine the storage periods and data processing.
4. How to choose and change your preference
“Essential only” disables both options. To allow an option, select it and choose “Save choices”. “Accept and open bookings” only allows the booking engine. Browsing, telephone and company contact details remain available with either option. Continuing to browse does not count as permission.
You can reopen the panel using “Cookie preferences” in the footer and change your choice at any time. Withdrawing analytics permission stops Analytics. Withdrawing booking permission closes the form and may interrupt details that have not been submitted. It does not automatically delete existing third-party cookies; you can remove them in your browser settings.
If your browser blocks preference storage, your choice applies to the current page and may be requested again on a later visit. Without JavaScript, the booking engine does not load; you can book using the company’s contact details.
5. Links and further information
This website’s static maps and images are local. Links to maps, Livro de Reclamações and other websites only open their destination when you select them; those destinations follow their own policies.
Strictly necessary storage is subject to different rules from optional content. Further information is available from the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD). This policy is updated when the services or technologies in use change.
